I was so excited that Halloween was on a Saturday this year, we were able to spend a relaxing day at home with Jackson, run some quick pre-Halloween errands and then head to my parents in the evening to carve pumpkins and do some trick-or-treating. Jackson wasn't quite sure what to do with the pumpkin carving activities, I was actually quite surprised that he didn't grab a handful of the pumpkin guts and shove them in his mouth (EVERYTHING generally goes in his mouth). He seemed quite content to just sit and watch what I was doing.

Jackson and Cousin Emma watching me scoop out the insides - what a mess!
At 6:00 the kids got their costumes on and we headed out for what we thought was going to be a quick trip around the block. What we adults forgot was that little ones move a tad slower than we do. We were able to make it around 2 blocks (which I thought was pretty good with a 3 year old, 2 year old and 9 month old), unfortunately, it took us 1 1/2 hours to do. When we walked back into the house at 7:30, Phil and my Dad looked at us and said "did you cover the whole city?" It was a lot of fun, and of course, Jackson flirted with anyone who said he was cute!
We had just come in from outside - our faces are a little red from the chilly night air.
He was the cutest monkey!

What a haul - we weighed his cousins plastic trick-or-treat pumpkins after we got back and they weighed 3.25 pounds a piece, so since Jackson went to all of the same houses we figure that was about what he got this year! Mom and Dad are set for quite a while with sweets!!
