Jackson's 2nd Birthday

I'm convinced that whatever the weather is on the day you are born, that is the weather that will be occurring for the majority of your birthdays (mine almost always rains). So it wasn't much of a surprise that yesterday on Jackson's 2nd birthday we got snow (thankfully not as bad as the year he was born). When I got home from work Phil and Jackson were already out in the front yard shoveling the driveway and sidewalk. Jackson and I decided to work on the backyard section of the driveway, he of course wanted to help so he grabbed his trusty rake of course. What a big help!

He had a pretty good time except for those moments that he toppled over, then he was more like a turtle on his back with all the winter wear on and needed some help getting back up to his feet. Phil's favorite moment (and secretly mine too) was when I heard Jackson kind of fussing and turned to see him on this knees again, I walked over to right him and then noticed why the fussing, he had fallen face first into a pile of snow and given himself a whitewash (always seems funnier when it happens to someone else of course).

So little man is now 2 years old and continuing to change on a daily basis. The things he comes up with and says can be pretty funny. He LOVES going places in the car and will chatter away the entire time pointing out and saying things like truck and car and recently fire truck (yep can actually say fire truck). He is getting really good at hopping up and riding his motorcycle (rocking on it hard enough that I'm afraid he is going to tip it over - although my boss assures me that he balanced it well enough that he won't be able to). His favorite foods still seem to be fruits and veggies with the front-runner being watermelon. He still isn't overly excited by meat unless it is in something (like a pot pie, loves those), except for hotdogs, will chow on those.

We are pretty blessed looking back over the past two years that he is growing into such a good and healthy kid.
