Florida Vacation - Beach Day

Jackson had never been to the beach before this vacation so we weren't sure how he was going to like it. He wasn't so sure of it at first (the crashing waves, sand getting into his sandels, etc.), but after showing him that he could dig into the sand with his new sand bucket and shovels he had a pretty good time.

His favorite part of the day seemed to be when I got him a bucket of water and he could sit on the sand and splish and splash with the occasional shovel of sand into the bucket.

I was trying to show him how to make sandcastles with a bucket of sand, he didn't see my visions - every time I turned the bucket upside down and showed him the castle he would immeadiately destroy it with a little boy's passion for destruction.

We put his hat on him before heading down not sure if he would keep it on or not - he pulled it so low on his head that he could only see if he tipped his head up - we tried to pull the hat up a little bit so he could see better and he would just pull it down further - we were just happy he kept it on!

Covered in sand!

Pretty good shot of the waves - I went wading for a few mintues - the water was COLD to say the least and the waves were pretty strong. Most every day that we were there the beach had a yellow flag out which was the warning flag for possible rip currents.
